Before my daughter started kindergarten, she often reversed letters and struggled to form them correctly. I hoped that once she began school, everything would naturally fall into place in the classroom.

Unfortunately, it didn’t.

I found myself meeting with teachers again and again, searching for ways to support her handwriting development. After doing my own research, I learned that she had dysgraphia — a learning difference that affects writing skills.

Determined to help her succeed, I began color-coding each letter so she could clearly see how to trace and form them correctly.

That simple visual change made an incredible difference.

The colors helped her remember each letter’s shape, and over time, she reversed letters less and less. Most importantly, she began gaining confidence in her writing.

It’s been quite a journey — and today, my daughter is a proud college graduate.

Her handwriting still isn’t perfect, and that’s okay. Dysgraphia can make writing challenging, and we even laugh about our “scribbles” sometimes.

But those visual, color-coded letters helped her learn to write with confidence.

And that’s exactly why I created Kidznote® — to help other children and parents experience that same success.
